Please provide your inputs on definition, experiences, tools, best practices, lessons learnt, defect tracking system on the above topic.

Examples of performance are: the page should be refreshed within 3 seconds; the time for uploading a file of size 2 MB should be within 5 seconds; report should be generated within 4 seconds etc. This is linked to the load the application or the product will face. eg. 100 uses accessing a system might influence the refreshing of page in a network. As manual testing of these scenarios will not be practicable, tools like WAPT can be used.
